Background
We live in information cocoons. In today’s increasingly polarized world, the knowledge and cognitive gaps between cultures continue to widen. Growing up in an era of globalization, we once believed in a more connected world. However, as we reach mid-career, we find ourselves in a landscape that feels more divided and fragmented.
We are Stella and Amy from Mainland China and Taiwan. We’ve lived in the U.S. and worked in tech for over a decade. We straddle information from both English and Mandarin worlds, often witnessing how perspectives drift further out of sync, with each group trapped in its own information cocoon.
